The Golden Bicycle Cruise is a family friendly event held on the last Tuesday evening of the month, May through September. It is sponsored by Golden Community Commons, the non-profit organization envisioning the future of the Armory building. Participants cruise along the bike paths and streets of Golden. The rides are themed, and riders encouraged to wear costumes and decorate their bikes. 150-175 riders of all ages participate. Each cruise features a different Golden band and two prize drawings. Beer from New Terrain Brewery is paired with burgers from Bob's Atomic Burgers.
We are privileged to work with several non-profit organizations based in Golden and share cruise profits with them. Thank you to CASA Jeffco/Gilpin, Golden High School Football Boosters, Neighborhood Rehab Project (Be a Tool) and BGoldN. We also thank our many sponsors and donors including The Buffalo Rose, Unite Fitness, Kona Bowls, Golden Goods, Woody's Pizza, Miner's Alley Playhouse, Ali Baba Grill, Bob's Atomic Burgers, Earth Sweet Botanicals, Goldmine Cupcakes, DT Construct, Ewers Architecture, The Fox Group, Bike Walk Golden, Golden City Brewery, Golden Sweets and State 38 Distilling.
Families and kids love dressing up to each month's theme.
The cruise is a great time to relax and hang with friends!

The Bike Cruise is held on the last Tuesday of the month, May through September. There are no rain dates. Sprinkles are ok but should the weather be cold, wet and miserable, we will cancel.
Golden Community Commons (GCC) is a small non-profit working to envision the future of the historic Armory Building. Our overarching intent is to facilitate partnerships that serve the well-being of the Golden community.
The Golden Bike Cruise is held as a fundraiser, with half of the beer sales going towards next year's expenses and the other half being donated to our monthly non-profit partners.
In 2022, our non-profit partners are the Golden High School Football Boosters, the Neighborhood Rehab Project, BGoldN and CASA (Court Appoointed Special Advocates). Past partners have included Leadership Golden, Golden Women in Business, Continental Divide Trail Coalition, Ralston Valley High School Robotics Club, American Mountaineering Museum, Shelton Elementary PTSA, Inspiration Fitness Studio, Maple Grove Elementary, CSM Cheerleading, Colorado Mountain Club, and Big City Mountaineers.
We are happy to work with any Golden non-profit organization that is able to lend us 10-12 volunteers on cruise night. We start putting together our volunteers and themes in March.
We invite your Golden business to be a sponsor of the Bike Cruise! For a small donation, we will hang your banner at every cruise, include your logo on our poster and shout out your business name during the event.
ABSOLUTELY! We generate our profits through beer sales. Every purchase of a beer awards one raffle ticket. If people want cool raffle prizes, they buy more beer and we earn more profits to share with our partners! Thank you to our amazing, generous Golden merchants for all your contributions over the years!
For kids, there are four ways to get a raffle ticket. (1) Just by showing up (2) By wearing a costume (3) By bringing canned goods for a local food pantry (4) by purchasing food. For adults, there is only one way to get raffle tickets - BUY BEER! The only way we make money is on beer purchases. All profits are split with our non-profit volunteer partners.
